It was in 1962, the brand gained the recognition it deserved with the launch of the Rado DiaStar Original collection. This was the first scratch-resistant watch in the world and while the watchmakers were busy complicating the mechanical aspect of a timepiece, Rado solely concentrated on the aesthetical aspect of it.
